Territory Asset Management Services

All sites are equipped with state of the art Metrocount Loggers for our data collection. Metrocount are well known for their experience and knowledge in the field of traffic data collection. TAMS chooses to use these loggers for their reliability and weather proof design to ensure that accurate traffic data is collected.

Permanent sites are self-powered by solar and are equipped with Next G or Satellite modems which allows us to contact these sites from the main office in Darwin. This enables early detection of any issues with the sites.

TAMS uses different types of loggers for various methods of data collection which best suits the client’s needs.

Tubes

This consists of two pneumatic tubes that are secured onto bitumen or dirt road which sends a pulse of air to the MC5600/5900 logger when a vehicle drives over it. These are used for temporary surveys.

Piezos

These sensors are installed into the road and detect vehicles by pressure. Piezo sites are equipped with a MC5700 logger and this method of data collection is one of our options for a permanent site.

Loops

This method involves coiling wire into the road which creates a sensor that detects metal from the vehicles that pass over it. All loop sites are equipped with a MC5800 logger are also another option for a permanent site.
